Experience the ‘noaberschap’ in the Twente outdoors! Traditionally, the local neighbourhood community (noaberschap) is an essential part of this region. It is, as it were, woven into Twente life. A pleasant surprise is that this route takes you past numerous places where you can enjoy artisanal, fresh and organic regional products. Extraordinary! You cycle through the picturesque village of Borne, which has been mentioned in official documents since 1206. The small Hertme is best known for its open-air theatre. Each year, it attracts thousands of enthusiasts. This site is definitely worth a visit. Along the way, you enjoy the beautiful farmland and historic estates, intersected by a number of lovely streams. The stop-off points offer you a very varied selection. From sporty activities such as canoeing and archery to simply enjoying nature and the stately country houses. A delightful cycling route where you can taste the convivial atmosphere in the Twente countryside.
