The bulb-growing region is cultivated on the excavated sandy soils behind the dunes: the geest grounds. Naturally beautiful in spring when the closed flower buds unfold into a waterfall of colours, but this beautiful area offers more: you can enjoy cycling along green lanes and old estates. The varied landscape, canals and ditches, monuments and cosy villages make the route a real experience. Also in other seasons than spring: in summer and autumn the bulbous plants are followed by summer flowering plants and perennials in the fields. And even in winter you can enjoy yourself here, as flowers are in bloom in the greenhouses. Come and enjoy and experience the bulb region around Lisse!
