Cycle route past the Best Terrace in the Netherlands

Every year, Misset Horeca compiles the Terrace Top 100, in which one exceptional terrace is named the Best Terrace in the Netherlands. Each spring, professional jury members and mystery guests travel across the country to evaluate hundreds of terraces. This year, the title went to a hospitality venue that operates with a future-proof approach, has a clear mission, and puts hospitality first: Grand Café Restaurant De Troubadour in Hardenberg. The city is clearly proud of this special terrace on the Overijsselse Vecht, and we at Fietsnetwerk share that enthusiasm. To celebrate the collaboration with the Best Terrace in the Netherlands, we created a short cycle route past a few of Hardenberg’s gems, with De Troubadour as the highlight, of course. Start your route at the TOP Gramsbergen and enjoy the most beautiful views along the Overijsselse Vecht. Want to make it a full day out? Then hop off at the Water Gardens of Ada Hofman or step aboard De Napoleon, a flat-bottomed boat that lets you experience the Vechtdal from the water. A guaranteed day of fun!
