Cycle route along Geul and Gulp

Hop on your two-wheeler and be enchanted by this charming junction route around Valkenburg aan de Geul. You set off from lively Valkenburg in the direction of Hulsberg and Klimmen. Along the way, you will enjoy rolling agricultural landscapes. Along the winding Geul river, the route takes you further to Gulpen, known for its hospitable atmosphere and the Gulpener beer brewery. But before you get there, you cross a number of idyllic Limburg villages, such as Schin op Geul, Schoonbron and Wijlre. In the latter village, you can get off at the castle of the same name or visit the Brand brewery. Between Gulpen and Margraten, the Heuvelland reveals what it is known for: stunning views, medieval castles and, of course, plenty of roadside Marian chapels or statues. As you cycle along the route, you will also come across several train stations of the Miljoenenlijn. This historic railway, which once served as a link between several Limburg villages, adds a touch of nostalgia to your cycling adventure.
