Castle route Green Heart
Woerden, IJsselstein, Montfoort
A cycle route that combines the noble stories of castles with mysterious estates. Swing along the junctions through the beautiful landscape of the Green Heart. In the pretty historical centres of the Utrecht towns, you will also see a number of museums. That makes this cycle route extra interesting! Put your bike aside and enter the world of witchcraft during the Middle Ages in Woerden, or the world of rope in the Touwmuseum. And so there have been many other fascinating developments that characterise this region. Along the way, you will encounter majestic castles, such as Montfoort Castle, Woerden Castle and IJsselstein Castle, although only the tower remains of the latter.
