Imagine yourself in prehistoric times during this cycle route. You cycle past the most beautiful natural areas and special places from history. Besides Limburg, this route also sends you through Belgium. Across a piece of land that was once sea, you pass the Natural History Museum where you get to know the geological history of this region. Stand eye to eye with the animals from the Cretaceous Sea millions of years ago. Continue your way past Flint mines in Valkenburg whose stones were once used to make tools by our ancestors. The beautiful nature in the hilly landscape of Limburg will give you the ultimate experience while cycling. Near the border with Belgium you will find several more places of interest, including the burial mounds and near Maastricht, the Devil's Cave. Want to enjoy a weekend of cycling? Then this cycle route is perfect for you! Halfway through, you can cycle on to the Cycle route through prehistory along the Drielandenpunt. Book an overnight stay here at the first Cuban-style hotel, Hotel Cuba Libre. The next day another wonderful route awaits you with beautiful views. Get on your (electric) bike and pedal away!
