This route leads you through the area where the waterworks of engineer Jan Blanken (1755 - 1838) determine the landscape. Cycle along the ancient Diefdijk and past uniquely situated forts. Through historic fortified towns and polders with beautiful views. Follow the nodes and discover the area where Jan Blanken lived and worked for years! Do you think 75 km is too long? Then choose the cycle route Along Lek and Linie: a route of 29 km. This route only contains the top of the Jan Blanken route. Between junctions 40 and 10, take nodes 11 and 12 and you will exoerience a beautiful, short cycling route! Of course, you'll find this route on our website as well.
