Cycle route through Veluwe villages
Apeldoorn, Kootwijk, Harskamp
This is a nice route for those who want to discover different places in the Veluwe! Butterfly and garden lovers will be in their element in Harskamp. Harskamp is home to a military barracks. In the adjacent museum you can learn all about it. Radio Kootwijk is of course the transmitter park you want to have been to. It used to be an important communication link between the Netherlands and the former colonies. Radio Kootwijk was built in 1918 and for the workers houses were built that formed the village of the same name. You will find it in the middle of the woods on the western flank of the Veluwe. In addition, you cycle along Kootwijkerzand, which is certainly not a punishment! From the watchtower you can look out over the huge area. Psst, do you like old stories?
