In Nijnsel, you’ll find the beautiful Church of Saint Anthony of Padua with an idyllic park behind it. Here you’ll discover a niche with a special name: the green cathedral. Every year, an open-air mass is held here in honour of Saint Anthony of Padua, a special tradition that reflects the rich history of the region. In the charming village of Eerde stands the impressive Saint Anthony Windmill, which was unfortunately damaged by the violence of war in the past. A little further on, in Best, the brave American paratrooper Joe Mann is honoured with his own monument and a nature theatre that bears his name.
