Museum Hoeksche Waard - Heinenoord
Spread over two beautiful locations, the cultural heritage of the Hoeksche Waard is preserved for the inhabitants of the island and beyond. The Museum Hoeksche Waard is partly located in 't Hof van Assendelft, an impressive country estate from 1767. It was built on behalf of the last Craftwoman of Heinenoord, Sara Louisa du Faget of Asssendelft. If you cycle or walk along the cycling and walking path you will get to the seventeenth-century farm 'Oost-Leeuwenstein'. This monumental gentlemen's farm together with 't Hof van Assendelft forms Museum Hoeksche Waard. Visiting the museum is currently only possible at the Herenboerderij Oost-Leeuwenstein location by booking in advance via the website.
