Laerman Castle - Ommen
A round motte mound with a moat lies to the south of the Zwolseweg on the east bank of the river Regge, in
Laarmanshoek. This defensive work from the 14th century probably served to protect the residents of the "Huys to Laer", which once lay close by
A lot further to the east is the Landgoed het Laer, which originated from a manor house.
