Watchtower Romsicht - Oudega
At the edge of the Alde Feanen and the Jan Durkspolder there is a 13-metre-high watchtower, which gives you a good view of the bird species that breed, rest and forage here. The tower is built on the foundations of an old farm, Romsicht, which was demolished in 1967. The thatched roof is covered with reed that comes from the polder. There is a large variety of birds here, but with a bit of luck you can just see a group of spoonbills here.
