Saint Peter's Basilica - Oirschot
The original St. Peter's Basilica dates from 1268. Unfortunately it burned down in 1462, together with all the valuable inventory. Immediately afterwards, a new church was built around the old foundations. This has been stopped several times because the money was used up. Eventually the current building was finished in 1515. Here you can see Kempisch Gothic style: brick combined with tuff and many classical Gothic features. Think of the high lancet windows and the rows of columns.
