National Park De Meinweg has a unique terraced landscape, created by erosion and shifts in the earth's crust. The terraces are separated by steep crossings, so that the total difference in height is no less than 50 metres. Nevertheless, the park is easily accessible. The park is crossed by the valley of the Boschbeek and the Roode Beek. In between are fens, heaths and woods. In the heaths, you may come across the rare adder.
