Museum Voorschoten - Voorschoten
VVV tourist office and museum about Voorschoten in one building. Museum Voorschoten wants to bring the public in touch with history, cultural heritage and art in an attractive and interactive way, with the aim of increasing and deepening the knowledge of these matters. It does this by organising exhibitions, art expositions, cultural lectures and activities such as an archaeology workshop for primary school children.
The museum is located in the heart of historic Voorschoten: the Voorstraat. This street not only derives its atmosphere from the many historical monuments, but also from the more than 100 years old lime trees and the many catering establishments! The museum is building up a collection of art and utensils as well as prints, photographs, postcards, books and archaeological finds from the area.
