Mill Concordia - Ede

N 52.046915 / E 5.665846

After more than 300 years, the predecessor of this mill was in need of replacement. The earlier mill had an oil-bearing mechanism. Various parts and traces of its construction were found later. After being owned by a Mrs. Veldhuizen, the mill came into the possession of the Van der Craats family in 1868. Until mid-2000, the mill was still in the possession of the Van der Craats family, who also owned the other mills in the Dutch province of Ednes.

In 1962, the sails were removed from the mill. Until the dismantling of the body in November 2003, the mill stood languishing between high silo buildings. In that year, a restoration of the mill to make it mill-ready began. The original stone substructure was raised by 4.70 metres. The former farm next door was also restored to its former glory. The former mill buildings were largely preserved as they were in 1937. Housing was built on the rest of the site.

On 22 May 2008, the mill was officially put back into operation. Mill flour is sold in the mill on Saturday mornings and children's parties are held by appointment.
